The open items also activated other scientist to use the Dimensions in their field and support the ideas of Hofstede. Continuing studies may result in other constructions of dimensions, as a changing definition of masculinity - femininity or the changeability of culture in general.

Nethertheless the ongoing research in this field might also prove, that the concept of Cultural Dimensions is not yet superfluous but rather modern.
