An SOP is revised. The official procedure is current, but older experience notes still refer to the previous revision. Anyone using those notes without an indication of the change may rely on conditions that no longer apply.
For Verified Industrial Memory, SupraTix is therefore adding automatic knowledge revalidation as a Shortcut extension in mint/shortcuts. The rule is clear: Changes to a registered SOP, machine or process make dependent experiential knowledge require review.
Dependencies are recorded explicitly
The extension connects a knowledge entry with specifically identified sources. For each dependency, it records the source identity and a fingerprint of the relevant revision. The entry also contains a scope, a version and explicit deadlines.
This is a prerequisite for dependable change checks: The system can detect impacts on explicitly registered dependencies. It does not claim to infer every technical relationship automatically and completely from arbitrary text. Recording source relationships is therefore part of introducing the knowledge collection.
From source change to review status
Native save events for supported sources trigger a check after a successful commit. If the current source differs from the recorded revision, a previously verified knowledge entry receives the status “review required.” A newly captured observation also starts without automatic expert approval.
Consider a fictional example: An SOP changes the order of cleaning and visual inspection. A registered experience note refers to the earlier sequence. That change prompts reassessment. The Shortcut does not decide by itself whether the note has become technically incorrect. It makes visible that the basis of its earlier assessment has changed.
Access checks the sources again
The extension also performs a current check through its own retrieval service. Source revisions, deadlines and permissions are reassessed when an entry is retrieved. An entry can therefore lose eligibility even if a change event was missed. A stored “verified” status is not sufficient evidence on its own.
This check applies to the intended retrieval service of the new extension. Existing search or AI applications must be explicitly connected to it. That integration is what makes their responses follow current review status as well.
Expert review remains with an authorized person
Renewed approval requires an independent reviewer with the necessary rights. The decision is bound to the specific content, version, scope, deadlines and source revisions. If that basis changes between viewing the entry and making the decision, the review must be opened again.
This preserves the Verified Industrial Memory trust chain: Source → Expert review → Version → Scope → Permission → Recertification. Automation detects changed conditions; expert review assesses what those changes mean.
What is needed before production use
The feature is provided as a new code extension. Its introduction requires the database migration, explicitly authorized installation of the private Shortcut, registration of knowledge entries and source relationships, and integration with consuming applications. A recurring check must be configured separately for the organization; the extension does not activate a global schedule.
An SOP that changes frequently, together with a small number of associated experience notes, is a suitable pilot. The team then checks the full sequence: change, marking, blocked retrieval and renewed expert assessment. This demonstrates whether the architectural principle has become a dependable working process.
